Go, Cheer Club! After a term of practice, our Cheer Club students put on this slick and polished performance. Well done! There is always something for everyone! #esfkennedyschool #englishschoolsfoundation #cheerclub #kennedyschoolsports #esfkennedyschoolsports Kennedy
Super duper well done to ‘Chilli Oil’, the Kennedy School Rock Band, for being the opening performance at the ESF West Island School Bazaar on Saturday! You were poised and confident, and delivered a mature and powerful performance. Watch out ESF West Island School as these Year 6s will joining you next academic year!
On Monday, we hosted the #HKPSSA Tag Rugby Championships here at HKU Sandy Bay. This was a huge tournament for our boys and girls with 19 schools participating in this event. We are very proud of both our boys and girls teams as they showed real courage throughout the day. From the group stages, our boys qualified through to the knockout stages by defeating ESF Quarry Bay School and ESF Renaissance College Hong Kong with a draw against @Harrow International School Hong Kong , eventually losing against Clearwater Bay School. Our girls team also recorded victories over Kowloon Junior School and ESF Beacon Hill School and a draw against ESF Bradbury School with close games also against Clearwater Bay and Discovery Bay International School. In warm conditions our students persevered and showed great team spirit and determination. Thank you to Mr Kruger and Mr Bogaerde for your efforts in training the boys and girls this term. Well done Kennedy rugby players! #esfkennedyschool #esfkennedyschoolsports #tagrugby

Year 5 students have been working very hard these few weeks to set up businesses and make phototypes to woo parent 'investors' today. The objective was to develop a business that fulfills a need in school. These entrepreneurs presented their case in the hall this morning before proceeding to classrooms where the real business of wooing investors took place. Which business do you think obtained the most funding? Was it the Strength Sleeve. The Culture Cracker, Sketches and Scores or Basketball Co? We will find out soon!
Kennedy School took over El Charro Cyberport for our Annual PTA Quiz Night - where parents, friends and staff got together for an evening of laughter and learning. There were questions for everyone covering sports, music, movies, horses and more! Congratulations to Team “Does this Count as Date Night?” on their comeback win, and thank you to our amazing MCs, Mr Rudi Dray and Mr Matt King for hosting this fabulous evening!
Over the course of the year, we hold community action assemblies and invite staff and parents to share actions that they take or have taken to make our world a better place. This week, we heard about volunteer firefighting, yoga for peace, making hearing loss inclusive among others. Students loved the sharing which often sparks discussions in class about how we can take action on our learning. Many thanks to the parents who came to talk to our students!
