As part of the English Schools Foundation(ESF), our students are supported by the largest English-medium international school organisation in Hong Kong, providing them the resources and opportunities not found outside of ESF Schools.
Our caring leaders and dedicated team guide our school with high standards, personalised support, and compassionate, visible leadership - creating a nurturing environment where students thrive.
At Kennedy School, we spark students' curiosity, ignite their excitement, and support their growth - academically, socially, and personally. Our dedicated team nurtures each child's potential through diverse learning experiences, celebrating their success and fostering a warm, welcoming community.
We are so proud of our close, nurturing connection with Kennedy School families. The 'Kennedy spirit' makes our school a warm, safe and special place. We are thankful to our incredible staff, dedicated parents, and hardworking PTA and School Council - who ensure each student can be the best that they can be.
Our school is nestled in the quiet Pokfulam suburb, overlooking the South China Sea. In addition to our own facilities, students have access to the expansive sports complex at Hong Kong University’s Stanley Ho Centre, which we use extensively for games, extracurricular activities, swimming, and lunchtime play.
Our teachers and educational assistants work together to provide personalised learning for our students. We take time to know and understand each child's unique identity, strengths and needs. This allows us to celebrate the diversity in our classrooms and fosters a warm, inclusive environment where every student feels valued.
Our IB PYP curriculum framework sparks inquiry, collaboration, and curiosity, developing caring, creative thinkers who use their knowledge to understand and shape the world around them.
At Kennedy School, we celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion, embracing our community's evolving needs to create learning environments where every child belongs and thrives.
We immerse our students in nature, with field trips, outdoor learning, and eco-projects that inspire environmental stewardship from an early age - nurturing a sustainable future.
Our student leaders in Year 6 help to organise initiatives and share opinions and ideas for improvement while developing invaluable leadership skills - empowering them to make a meaningful difference.
Our vibrant after-school programmes and sports teams offer over 100 diverse experiences - developing skills, nurturing talents, and fostering collaboration with other schools.
Our primary students thrive at adventure camps and cultural immersion trips, honing teamwork, personal growth, and global perspectives - unforgettable highlights of their primary school years.
Performance is central at Kennedy School - from year-level showcases to choir, band, and cultural celebrations - nurturing confidence, creativity, presentation and a lifelong love of the arts.

My favourite thing about Kennedy School is all the nice and supportive teachers who helped me get to where I am now.

Kennedy School has the power to combine learning with fun and that is not an ability every school has. I will never forget how the teachers taught me using enjoyable and efficient methods

Since I joined in Year 3, things changed and it was like learning changed. Kids ran up to me greeting me. Everyone was kind and it’s truly a great place to learn.

We feel so fortunate to be a part of this incredible school community. The school’s open communication and transparency are truly refreshing. Class teachers are so capable and their commitment to developing the whole child (academically, socially, and emotionally) is unparalleled. My child always comes home buzzing with excitement showing his latest projects. We cannot imagine sending him anywhere else!

Kennedy School has a very special community, where children love going to school and parents feel welcomed. I never have to coax my kids to school, and they always come home so happy. The staff and teachers are supportive and kind, and the IB curriculum has really worked well for both of my children. Being able to use Stanley Ho grounds across the road for swimming, sports, and extra space is an added bonus!

Kennedy ESF is a very nurturing school that focuses not only on the children's academic achievements but also on supporting each child's emotional development and personal circumstances. The teachers create a warm and fun environment for the kids to achieve their goals at their own pace. The school also provides a diverse range of opportunities like inquiry play and field trips for the children to understand the broader world they live in.

And it was sweet victory indeed for the Lions as they were crowned overall Sport Day Champions! It’s been 15 years since they lifted the trophy and the whole school rejoiced and celebrated with them. What a fabulous end to an amazing Sports Day!
Hurray for our Sports Ambassadors! These Year 6 students were everywhere today - supporting and running Sports Day for Years 1 to 4. They set up activity stations, briefed the classes, supervised the activities, ran all the running races, lifted the trophies, then gathered and put all the equipment away, ready for the next session. Tomorrow, they take a breather and participate in their own Sports Day for Years 5 and 6, the results of which will determine the overall winning House for Sports Day. Will Dragons lift the cup again for a 2nd year in a row? Or will frequent winner Phoenix regain the throne? Or might Lions or Unicorns race ahead? All will be revealed tomorrow! #sportsday #kennedyschoolsportsday #kennedyschoolsports #esfkennedyschoolsports #esfkennedyschool #primaryschoolleadership #year6studentleaders #year6studentleadership #year6sportsambassadors

Well done Year 5s!
Well done Year 5s!
This morning, we held our grand tradition of the Chinese New Year Assembly where the whole school gathered to watch and enjoy the lion and dragon dances by our own troupe and by professionals. It started with the dotting of the eyes 👀 ceremony to empower the lions 🦁 to fulfil their duty of bringing protection, good luck, health and prosperity to those present. Gifts 🎁 were then presented to our dedicated facilities team. Yellow and purple dragons and lions of many hues ran and danced around the playground ushering in blessings and good fortune to all, followed by 🥬 lettuce blessings and ‘fire’ crackers to scare bad luck away. Our ears are still ringing from the beat of the flower drum and the crash of the cymbals! Many thanks to our PTA for supporting this event. Good luck to all in the Year of the Snake! 恭喜发财 新年快乐 Gong Xi Fa Cai! Xin Nian Kuai Le!
Saving the best for last! The final piece in our Chinese New Year Assemblies was a graceful performance by Year 5 girls titled "Blissful Floral”. Dressed in vibrant traditional Chinese costumes, they took to the stage with grace and energy. Using fans and lanterns as props, the girls showcased their flexibility and coordination through beautiful movements and gymnastic routines. A highlight of the performance was when they formed a stunning, blooming flower, symbolizing hope and renewal. Accompanied by soothing traditional Chinese music, "Blissful Floral" truly was a visual and auditory delight, spreading joy and blessings for the upcoming Year of the Snake.
