1946 to December 1953: No. 28 Kennedy Road (called the Annex) housed the first Kennedy Road School which had six classes and about 60 students.

1954: The school merged with Peak School (housed in what is now the Fire Station in Gough Hill Path) and moved to Plunkett’s Road. The Log Book of the original school is still at Peak School.

1961, 16 September: Kennedy Road Junior School was opened with 44 pupils and two teachers Miss M. Patten and Miss J.E. Holmes, and occupied 26 Kennedy Road. The opening was necessitated by the rapid growth of the expatriate population at that time and Glenealy School was unable to accommodate all Year 1 applicants.

1979: Kennedy Road Junior School came under the auspices of the English Schools Foundation when the Hong Kong Government disestablished the five English-medium Primary Schools which it administered.

1989: Kennedy School became the school’s official title when it moved to its current premises on Sha Wan Drive, Sandy Bay, Pokfulam. 4000 students had been through the school at Kennedy Road by then. In the new premises, the school grew from 12 classes to 18 classes.
